When you’re coordinating an outpatient discharge sober living referral, you’re not just filling a bed — you’re trusting us with someone you’re responsible for. We built our referral process to make that trust easy to place, from the first phone call through move-in day and beyond.
How We Keep the Process Simple
We know many recovery residences make placement feel like paperwork. We’d rather it feel like a conversation with someone who understands exactly what you need to know before you commit a client to us.
| Step | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Call Us | We answer at (860) 337-1029 and connect you with our admissions/referral contact. We can usually give you a same-day read on current availability at both our Hartford and New London homes. |
| 2. Share the Details | We ask about your client’s recovery history, current level of care, any co-occurring considerations, and target move-in timeline. We don’t hold to a fixed length-of-stay requirement — we build around each resident’s individual pace. |
| 3. We Confirm Fit | We confirm fit and availability together, then walk you through next steps for your client’s application. For facilities that refer to us regularly, we set up a standing point of contact so every future placement moves even faster. |
What We Need From You
We ask for enough information to place your client well, not more than that. A clear picture of where they are in recovery, what level of outpatient care they’re stepping down from, and any co-occurring considerations we should know about upfront lets us confirm fit quickly instead of guessing after the fact. We’ll also ask directly whether your client is currently on Medication-Assisted Treatment, since that’s the one factor that determines fit before anything else does.
What Happens After We Confirm Fit
We don’t consider a referral finished once your client is approved — we coordinate the move-in directly with them. Our NARR-trained house managers schedule the move-in date and provide a full list of what to bring, so your client isn’t left guessing about logistics on their own. We handle that coordination the same way for every resident, whether they came to us through a referral or found us on their own.
What an Ongoing Referral Relationship Looks Like
We work with several facilities who refer to us regularly, and the process gets faster every time. Once we’ve placed a client together, we already know how you communicate, what information you’ll want upfront, and who your standing point of contact is on our end. We’d rather build that kind of relationship with a handful of facilities we know well than treat every referral like the first one.
What We’re Accountable To
We hold every home to the same standard: CTARR certification, NARR-trained staff, and a zero-tolerance policy we enforce the same way every time, for every resident. That consistency is what lets you refer to us with confidence instead of hoping this particular placement goes well.
