For Counselors, Care Coordinators & Discharge Planners

Placing a client well matters as much as placing them quickly. Springtime Living gives your client a genuine, dignified home in Hartford or New London — not an institutional facility — while he continues outpatient treatment elsewhere. We work with referral partners across the entire state of Connecticut, not just locally.

The Springtime Approach to Recovery

Foundations for Long-Term Sobriety

Everything we do is built upon four foundational pillars designed to foster growth, independence, and long-term sobriety:

Compassion

We foster a culture of deep empathy, treating every individual with the dignity they deserve on their healing journey from the inside out.

Comfort

Our homes are clean and fully furnished. To offer unparalleled stability and peace of mind, we never use bunk beds and strictly limit occupancy to one or two residents per room. By providing spacious environments, nutritious meals, and premium amenities, we create a space where residents can truly rest, recharge, and focus on personal growth.

Support

Our dedicated staff cultivates a secure peer community. To help residents regain independence and confidence, we provide active job search guidance and direct connections to local businesses looking to hire.

Inclusion

We celebrate a beautifully diverse world. While our homes are uniquely structured to be gender-specific, we proudly stand by the Fair Housing Act and welcome individuals from all walks of life.

Program Foundations

12-Step Driven

Our community is deeply rooted in the principles of fellowship, spiritual growth, and active recovery through a 12-step-based approach. We strongly believe that recovery cannot be done in isolation.

Medication Policy

To maintain the specific structure and safety of our peer community, please note that we do not accommodate or administer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

House Rules & Built-In Accountability

A sober living home promotes accountability through structure. To protect the safety and sanctity of the home for all residents, we enforce strict guidelines. Breaking our core safety rules results in immediate removal from the home. Key Expectations Include:

Zero-Tolerance Environment

There are absolutely no weapons, illegal drugs, unprescribed medication, or alcohol permitted on or around the premises. Everyone is subject to random urinalysis (UA) testing.

Strict Curfews

To maintain a productive routine, residents can enter the home between 6 AM and 11 PM from Sunday through Thursday, and between 6 AM and 12 AM on Friday and Saturday.

Active Recovery

All residents must actively attend outpatient treatment.

Respect & Cleanliness

We require a peaceful environment with no aggressive or violent behavior. Residents must keep their rooms orderly and sanitary at all times, put dirty dishes in the sink, and clean up after using the bathroom.

The Referral Process

We've designed our referral process to be simple and fast, so you can move forward with confidence on behalf of your client.

1

Call Us to Discuss Fit

Call (860) 337-1029 and ask for the admissions/referral contact. We can typically give you a same-day read on current availability at both our Hartford and New London homes.

2

Share Client Information

Share your client's recovery history, current level of care, any co-occurring considerations, and target move-in timeline. There's no fixed length-of-stay requirement — we work with each resident's individual pace.

3

We Confirm Fit & Next Steps

We'll confirm fit and availability and walk you through next steps for your client's application. For facilities that refer regularly, we're happy to set up a standing point of contact.
