Rebuilding lives through a unique combination of real estate excellence and clinical expertise.
Springtime Living was born out of a unique intersection of real estate, clinical expertise, and a deep desire to give back to the community. As local real estate investors, Tom and Kevin Williams frequently rehabbed homes across Connecticut. When they took on a large, complex property in New London, they realized it wasn't a typical flip or traditional rental. Recognizing the size and potential of the space, they put their heads together and researched alternative uses. Through this process, they discovered a profound need for high-quality sober living homes.
Combined with Kevin’s personal connection to the opiate crisis and Dr. Ana Lizcano’s extensive background in clinical psychology and addiction, the team realized this house was the perfect fit for a much greater purpose. Today, Springtime Living is dedicated to providing a safe, stable, and supportive environment for individuals rebuilding their lives in recovery.
Unlike many sober living environments, Springtime Living is guided by a powerful combination of clinical insight, business acumen, and professional compliance.
Dr. Ana Lizcano is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who brings a wealth of empathy and clinical insight to Springtime Living.
Background: She has been a licensed psychologist for over 13 years, providing a strong professional foundation for our programs.
Clinical Experience: Dr. Lizcano has worked with a variety of populations and settings that will directly help with this endeavor. She has seen first-hand from a clinical perspective the impact addiction can have on an individual and their life.
Her Role: While Dr. Lizcano does not provide direct clinical therapy to the residents within our homes, her deep understanding of the recovery journey is woven into the fabric of Springtime Living. Her expertise guides our approach to creating a holistic, supportive, and trauma-informed environment, ensuring that the unique needs and challenges of those in recovery are always met with compassion and understanding.
For Kevin, the mission of Springtime Living is deeply personal.
His Mission: Having lost dozens of friends to the opiate crisis, he has seen firsthand the devastating impact addiction can have on individuals and their families.
Background: Kevin began his career running a successful digital marketing agency, but eventually felt disconnected from the virtual, big-tech world. He wanted to make a tangible, face-to-face impact in his local Connecticut community. This drive led him to partner with his father, Tom, in local real estate investment, helping people out of difficult housing situations.
His Role: When the opportunity arose to transform a sprawling New London property into a sober living home, Kevin knew he had found his true calling. At Springtime Living, he is able to merge his business acumen with his passion for helping others, giving back to the community in an incredibly rewarding way and honoring the friends he has lost by helping others find a path forward.
Tom brings over 40 years of high-level legal and financial professional experience to the foundation of Springtime Living.
Background: As an attorney and CPA, Tom previously served as the Deputy General Counsel for Fortune 500 companies like Stanley Black & Decker and Ingersoll Rand. After retiring from a high-stress corporate career, Tom wanted to use his legal, tax, and real estate expertise to help people locally.
His Role: He partnered with his son, Kevin, to invest in Connecticut real estate. When they acquired a uniquely large property in New London, Tom’s extensive problem-solving skills and strategic mindset helped the team navigate the complex zoning and planning required to establish a sober living home. Tom’s background ensures that Springtime Living is built on a rock-solid foundation of integrity, safety, and compliance, giving residents and their families peace of mind that they are in a well-managed, secure environment.
