We get asked directly sometimes: do you accept veterans? The answer is yes — and we want to be equally direct about what that does and doesn’t mean, since we’d rather you have an accurate picture than an inflated one.
Veterans Are Welcome Here
We don’t discriminate against veterans, and military service has no bearing on whether someone is a good fit for our program. We proudly stand by the Fair Housing Act and welcome individuals from all walks of life — that includes veterans, active-duty service members transitioning to civilian life, and anyone else in recovery from substance use.
What We Don’t Offer
We want to be honest here: we don’t run a dedicated veterans’ program, VA-specific partnership, or specialized veteran-focused track. We’re a general recovery residence — every resident, veteran or not, lives under the same structure: CTARR certification, NARR-trained staff, a zero-tolerance policy, and a requirement to stay active in outpatient treatment elsewhere.
What Applies to Every Resident, Veterans Included
| Requirement | Applies To |
|---|---|
| Active outpatient treatment | Every resident, no exceptions |
| Zero-tolerance / random UA testing | Every resident, enforced the same way |
| No dedicated MAT accommodation | Every resident, regardless of background |
| Comfortable, private-feeling rooms | Every resident, no exceptions |
We think that consistency matters. A veteran living with us gets the exact same standard of comfort, accountability, and support as any other resident — not a lesser version, and not a specialized one we haven’t actually built out.
If You’re Considering Us
We’d encourage any veteran, or family member of a veteran, to call us directly with questions about fit. We’re glad to talk honestly about what our program does and doesn’t include, so you can decide with accurate information rather than guessing.
