We get this question from families sometimes: is Springtime Living a Christian sober living home? We want to answer honestly — we aren’t a dedicated faith-based program, but we don’t discriminate against or have any problem with residents who are Christian, and we think faith and our program can genuinely coexist.
We Are Not a Dedicated Christian Program
We want to be upfront: we don’t run religious services, Bible study, or any Christian-specific programming on-site. If you’re specifically looking for a faith-based recovery residence built around a particular denomination, that’s not what we are.
What We Are: Welcoming to Residents of Any Faith
We proudly stand by the Fair Housing Act and welcome individuals from all walks of life — that includes residents who are Christian, residents of other faiths, and residents with no religious affiliation at all. No one is excluded or treated differently because of their faith, and no one is required to participate in any particular religious practice to live with us.
Where Faith and Our Program Can Overlap
We build our program around a 12-step foundation, which has spiritual roots but isn’t tied to any single denomination — it makes room for a “higher power” as each resident understands it. For residents who want to bring their Christian faith into that framework personally, there’s nothing about our structure that stands in the way. We simply don’t provide the religious programming itself; that stays a personal practice residents are free to pursue on their own, through their own church or community, alongside their time with us.
What Stays the Same for Every Resident
We hold every resident — regardless of faith or lack of one — to the same standard: CTARR certification, NARR-trained staff, a zero-tolerance policy, and a requirement to stay active in outpatient treatment. Faith doesn’t change the structure; it’s simply not a barrier to it, either.
If You Have Questions
We’d rather you ask directly than assume. If you’re trying to figure out whether Springtime Living fits your family’s needs — Christian, another faith, or no faith at all — call us at (860) 337-1029. We’re glad to talk it through honestly.
